It appears that former two division champion Zab Judah is refusing to fight on the
Floyd Mayweather Jr-Juan Manuel Marquez pay-per-view undercard on September 19 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Judah does not appear pleased with the choice of opponent, Antonio Diaz. Judah was originally scheduled to fight Matthew Hatton, the younger brother of Ricky Hatton. Matthew walked away from the fight with claims that Judah was pushing him to fight at a catch-weight.
Judah told boxing reporter Jose Santana Jr. that he isn't concerned with the promoters of the event, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Oscar De La Hoya. Judah plans to attend the show but he will not fight.
"September 19th we’re going to get suited and booted and go out there and check it out. Diaz is not worth it, what has he done? And the only reason Matthew Hatton would get a shot is because of what he brings to the table, he brings the UK," said Judah.
"I don’t have to talk to anybody, I talk to myself, Super Judah Promotions. Neither Oscar nor Mayweather are my boss."
